When I learned of my APOE4 status the first thing I did was improve sleep hygiene. I spent most of my working life thinking 4 hours of sleep and being the first one into work and the last to leave would elevate my career. It didn't. Being a workaholic takes a serious toll on your body systems. I now get 7-8 hours of quality sleep per night. I highly recommend separate bedrooms with separate temperature controls for couples. Hubby prefers to sleep in nursing home temps. My room is 67-68°. I wake as a happier, kinder person after a good night's sleep.
